XVZ1300 Royal Star introduced Feb 1996 using engine based on VMX 1200 but in all-new custom-cruiser type chassis. Deep mudguards, tank-mounted speedo, chrome exhaust system with two silencers on each side. Drilled discs front and rear, heavy-finned engine, two-part seat, 7 spoke cast alloy wheels, ‘Royal Star’ badges on tank. Finished in red/white.
Jan 1997 now fitted with patterned seat covers, available in red/white, buff/burnt cherry or white/plum.
Feb 1997 XVZ1300AT Tour Classic introduced. Dressed version of Royal Star. Fitted screen, panniers, backrest and crashbars. Tour Classic badges on front mudguard. Colours as Royal Star.
Dec 1998 XVZ Venture Star introduced. Finished in grey metallic.
