Another budget 125 learner cruiser to take on Honda’s CG125 and Suzuki’s perennial GN125 as well as all the other 125 learner cruisers. It looks the part, has an electric start, alloy wheels, a carrier rack, rev counter and a disc front brake, so it won’t spring any nasty surprises on the novice rider. It’s cheap too. looks well finished, and don’t forget there’s an awful lot of competition in this market so shop around, and make sure you check out all our learner cruisers from each of the manufacturers on our site.
Review by Alan Fenning : I bought this bike second hand and therefore cannot comment on it as if new. My bike is two years old, although I’ve only had it for a few months. It appears to be a copy of the Suzuki GN125 as it is identical. However, the engine I believe is a Honda engine. The bike looks good and handles well, and is a good buy for the price paid.
However it does come with it’s problems in so much as it has proved (for me) to be a pain to get parts for, and again (for me) to find a motorcycle shop who will actually work on it. I live in Scotland and have had great difficulty with both these issues.
Getting hold of any kind of a manual too is a nightmare and about impossible.
EPBarrus the importer will only take orders for parts direct from dealers, which is okay if you can find one locally. They take your order then send it off to Barrus and they then send the part to you???? (if in stock) I tried to order direct but they wouldn’t let me. Strange one!!!
So if you are in a hurry for parts then forget it. My bike was off the road for weeks just waiting for a £3.60 part to arrive.
My first problem was with the Cush drive rubber (back wheel), the rubber totally disintegrated. After only 2000 miles on the bike that is quite poor. It is apparently been high lit to the manufacturers and the replacement rubbers are of a better quality, however, something to be aware of.
With all that negative stuff out the way, the bike really is okay and an ideal commuter/learner bike.
Personally I have some reservations in recommending this brand but only because of the lack of back up support. The machine it’s self is actually pretty good, such a pity it isn’t given the back up it deserves.
I think I’ll sell mine and go for a better know make. However if your budget is around the price for one of these machines, then yes, I’d recommend it. A good sound bike and good value for money.
