The leatherwork is top quality, and the panniers detach easily from their frames (although the combination locks are fiddly) Whether the leather’s worth an extra grand is a moot point, but you still get the California virtues of sporty handling and cruiser styling, with huge waves of shuddering torque from the big V-twin. The best handling cruiser you can buy, while build quality is much improved.
