Celebrating the 80th anniversary of Moto-Guzzi, mechanically the EV 80 is basically a normal California EV. The difference is in the screen and top fairing, and in the fitted panniers and they appear to be leather simply because they are . So is the seat, the handlebar grips and the sissy pad at the back. It’s the result of a tie-in with Poltrona Frau, one of Italy’s poshest sofa makers . The leatherwork is top quality, and the panniers detach easily from their frames (although the combination locks are fiddly) Whether the leather’s worth an extra grand is a moot point, but you still get the California virtues of sporty handling and cruiser styling, with huge waves of shuddering torque from the big V-twin. The best handling cruiser you can buy, while build quality is much improved.
