Based on R1100R but totally restyled and fitted with large capacity lower power engine.
The engine, complete with the trademark BMW twist, is far happier revving higher in lower gears than pottering around in gears further up the box. The wide, cow horn bars and very un-cruiser like head angle compared to the Harley-Davidson for example, combine to make steering a little floppy at low speed, but you do get used to it and it doesn’t really rate any criticism. On the open road the 1200c is at its best, and is one of the most accomplished rides in the cruiser sector.
